Nebeel El-Khory, a Christian person delivered a speech in which he mentioned some virtues of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him), his social justice, his knowledge, and how he used to treat others who were not Muslims.

On the occasion of the blessed birthday of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him); and on the thousand-year anniversary of Imam Ali's designation of Kufa as the capital of his caliphate, a stately ceremony has been held in Kufa, where the deputy Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine Sayyed Afdhel Esh-Shamy, some representatives of holy shrines and many officials, politicians, religious scholars, and people attended.

The ceremony was begun with reciting verses of the Noble Quran by the international Quran reciter Ala’ Es-Sadiqy, followed by a speech of the Secretariat-General of Kufa Mosque (Mesjid).

Kufa, as described by Imam Es-Sadiq (Peace Be Upon Him), is a piece of Paradise; its great, unique mosque (Mesjid) is the plain path for the prophets, fiducial custodians, and good-deed people. It is a holy place. Here are the sanctuaries of some prophets, such as Adam, Noah, Ibrahim (meaning Peace Be Upon Them), and in the middle is that of the Prophet Mohammed (Allah’s Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him & His Pure Lineage).

On the other side is the sanctuary of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him) and the monuments of his pulpit at which he had delivered his unique speeches. On the same side is the Holy Shrine of Moslim Bin Aqeel (Peace Be Upon Him), an immortal hero in the Islamic history.

The importance of Kufa was mentioned and how Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him) chose it to be the capital of his caliphate in the month of Rajab 12, 1436 A.H. That also indicates the significance of the geographical position of Kufa militarily and economically, in addition to the significance of the Kufa Mosque (Mesjid) and how it is the spot of Allah’s providence.

Nebeel El-Khory, a Christian person delivered a speech in which he mentioned some virtues of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him), his social justice, his knowledge, and how he used to treat others who were not Muslims.

At the end of the ceremony, the sacrifice and the worthful efforts that the popular army against the ISIS has been offering have been highly commended.
